Home > Safety Courses > Course Listing Forklift Operator (Sit-Down Counterbalanced)29CFR1910.178 OSHA requires mandatory "Training and Certification" by the current and/or supervising employer for all operators of powered industrial trucks. OSHA further requires that this training must include formal discussion, practical training and evaluation in the workplace. This training must be equipment and location specific and is not transferable between employers or work locations. (Please note: Temporary labor must be "Trained and Certified" by the supervising employer at the actual work location. OSHA does not accept or recognize “pre-certification” by the employment agency or service.) Our Certified Master Instructors will provide your operators with the most up to date classroom instruction available for powered industrial trucks. We use exciting multi-media presentations and interactive teaching aids designed for adult students. Lively discussions help give students the training, skills and experience to tackle the real-life situations they face every day. Upon completion of this course your operators will be ready for the Site and Equipment Specific training and evaluation by the employer to complete the certification process in compliance with OSHA CFR 1910.178 (l). If the employer does not have a competent and qualified trainer
we can schedule our trainer to complete the required Site and Equipment
specific evaluation process that is required by OSHA prior to employer
certification.
