The "General Industry Standard" is the backbone of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. This "Horizontal" standard applies to ALL EMPLOYERS regardless of the primary industry they work in. This dynamic OSHA General Industry Safety Standards workshop provides an in-depth understanding of the “Horizontal” OSHA General Industry Standard. We explore the 29CFR1910 standards from beginning to end, subpart by subpart. This is mixed with lively discussions of past work experiences of attendees and the instructor. We also use actual OSHA accident and compliance inspection data to demonstrate how the standards were either not applied or misapplied causing accidents or citations. This course is based on the OSHA Training Institute "OSHA 510" Standards course but goes the extra step to better establish how to apply these standards in everyday situations and circumstances. Successful graduates will have the knowledge and resources to make Occupational Safety a source of "Profits" and instead of never ending frustrations and cost!
